It has job listings, online courses and a free electronic newsletter and its membership includes a variety of professionals such as journalists, editors, designers, photographers, communication strategists, video producers and printers.

 There is a listing for freelancers with an impressive range of writing and associated skills such as editing, sub-editing, design, proofreading, news writing, feature writing, proof reading, page design and editorial production. 

The National Association of Writers in Education is an organisation supporting the development of creative writing of all genres and in all educational settings throughout the UK. It has a magazine with articles, workshops, letters and reviews, a bi-annual conference programme, a year-round professional development programme including training days, mentoring and shadowing opportunities, one to one professional development advice sessions  as well as its own website with information and resources for writers. In addition is has job listings useful for finding freelance work.
